It’s Women’s History Month and Third Wednesday is celebrating with a performance featuring the work of important but overlooked late 19^th century female composers, including Amy Marcy Beach (US) and Dame Ethel Smyth (UK). Their popularity in Europe and North America is the musical representation of the immense international efforts to introduce women’s suffrage in the 20th century.

Come join us for an intimate concert in the great hall of the Charle Gates Dawes House, an historical house in Evanston, IL. We will be featuring works from our album, and the premier of a new arrangement by Composer Stacy Garrop of “My Dearest Ruth”, a setting of the final letter of Martin Ginsburg to his wife, supreme court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
